This policy explains, in plain terms, what we collect when you shop with us, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Cult Everyday runs on Shopify, which helps us power checkout, hosting, and parts of the experience described below. The short version We collect what's needed to get your order to your door, keep your account secure, and — only if you opt in — send you updates about new drops and rituals. (Card numbers are handled by our payment processor, not stored on our own systems.) Account information — your username, password, and account preferences. Your information may be shared with Shopify and other providers who may be located outside the country you live in. We also use certain Shopify features that draw on data from your interactions with our store, as well as other merchants' stores, to help protect and improve our business. For these specific uses, Shopify is responsible for processing your personal information, including responding to your requests to exercise your rights. Third-party websites and links Our site may link out to websites or platforms we don't control. If you follow one of those links, we'd encourage you to review that site's own privacy and security practices — we can't vouch for them. Anything you post publicly, including on third-party social platforms, may be seen and used by others outside of our control. A link from our site doesn't mean we endorse the destination. Children's data Our Services aren't intended for children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of majority in their jurisdiction. If you're a parent or guardian and believe your child has shared personal information with us, contact us using the details below and we'll delete it. As of the effective date of this policy, we have no actual knowledge that we "sell" or "share" (as those terms are defined by applicable law) the personal information of anyone under 16. You'll still receive essential, non-promotional messages, like order updates. We won't discriminate against you for exercising these rights. We may need to verify your identity first, and if you use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf, we may ask for proof of that authorization. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. International transfers We may store and process your personal information outside the country you live in. If we transfer information out of the EEA or UK, we rely on approved safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (or the UK equivalent), unless the destination country is already recognized as providing an adequate level of protection.
